Project overview
Superb Electric LLC served as the electrical contractor for a 25 MW cryptocurrency mining facility in Edna, Texas, delivering the full electrical build-out from utility-side high voltage down to the final container connection. Superb Electric handled transformer installation, high-voltage feeder installation, and secondary power distribution under a $5.7 million electrical contract.
The scope included furnishing and installing 25 step-down transformers and running and terminating all high-voltage primary cable serving the site. From there, Superb Electric built out the secondary distribution system at 380V feeding the site's mining containers, with each container served by up to 8,000 amps. The scope also included dedicated power for the facility's water-cooling system, supporting continuous high-density thermal loads across the site.
Superb Electric completed the full electrical scope in approximately one month, fielding 9 electricians on site to bring the facility from utility feed to fully energized load on a compressed schedule.
